1) What is parallel tracking ?

Parallel tracking is a new tracking method that has been designed to avoid traditional tracking main issues : redirecting time.

Since may 2018, Google has implemented parallel tracking on Adwords in order to improve navigation experience on websites that have enabled it:

As shown above, the user, right after his click is redirected towards the Final URL.
The tracking URL call is made in background, and does not affect Final URL page load.

For more explanations : see this dedicated page or this one from Google website.

Since 27th march 2019 onwards, parallel tracking becomes mandatory for Google Shopping campaigns!

2) How to enable parallel tracking for Google Shopping on BeezUP?

In order to be compliant with Google shopping ban to use traditional tracking since 27th march onwards, and therefore provide URLs sharing the same domain as the targetted website, BeezUP has implemented parallel tracking feature.

In order to enable parallel tracking, here are the necessary steps to follow :

a) Within go2.beezup.com, go to Google shopping "Settings" page (from the "Channels" page).
Choose "Parallel tracking" in the dropdown list, and select "Save" and then confirm.

Warning: this choice cannot be reversed afterwards, you can no longer get back to traditional tracking once parallel tracking is enabled.

Once enabled, "Adwords Redirect" URLs will no longer point towards "jump.beezup.com" but towards your own domain name, with 3 new parameters, with no impact on your site, being added at the end : "BPSID", "BPCID", "BPPID"

b) Within your adwords, choose your desired campaigns then click on "Settings" > "Account settings" > "Tracking template"
and then copy-paste this exact URL :

https://jump.beezup.com/googleads?url={lpurl}

And then click "Save".
